In the quiet town of Corning, New York, where the Finger Lakes weave tales of resilience and innovation, Robert White, the visionary CEO of Dolphin Entertainment Company Inc., stands as a testament to the enduring power of hard work and determination. In an exclusive Q&A, White shares insights into the creation of the company, his pursuit of legacy, and the unwavering spirit that fueled the company’s persistence even in the face of adversity.

What inspired the creation of Dolphin Entertainment Company Inc.?

“I always believed in the power of creativity and its ability to bring about generational change. The inception of Dolphin Entertainment was rooted in a profound desire to create a new branch in the family tree. I wanted to build something that I could leave behind for my children—an opportunity, options, and an open mindset about what the future could be.”

Can you elaborate on the legacy you aim to leave behind?

“Legacy, for me, goes beyond financial success. It’s about changing the family tree, reshaping the narrative for generations to come. I want Dolphin Entertainment Company Inc. to be a source of inspiration and opportunity for my children and their children. It’s about leaving behind a story of perseverance, creativity, and the pursuit of dreams.”

How did the company navigate the challenges posed by the Covid-19 pandemic?

“The Covid Pandemic had my business on fumes. The day the country shut down, my company lost thousands of dollars in business. I was unqualified for SBA grants and loans, due to personal debt, but I also contracted Covid and was hospitalized because of it. I truly thought at one point in my battle that I was going to die from it, but thankfully, I recovered.”

“The challenges were immense, but I knew I couldn’t let this company fail. In the start of 2023, when the world was opening again, I went back to basics, back to the beginning, and started grinding and building it again. It’s about resilience, about not letting circumstances define the fate of your dreams.”

How does Dolphin Entertainment Company Inc. contribute to changing the family tree?

“I want this company to be more than a business—it’s a legacy in the making. It’s about providing opportunities for my children and generations to come. I want them to inherit not just a successful business but a mindset that embraces creativity, innovation, and the courage to pursue one’s dreams. Changing the family tree is about rewriting the narrative of what’s possible.”

What keeps you motivated and persistent in steering the company forward?

“I have an image hanging next to my front door at home that says, ‘I feel like making dreams come true.’ Because I do, and I’m reminded before I even walk out the door. It’s about staying focused on my commitment to my clients, my team, and the legacy I want to create. Persistence is key—knowing that challenges are not roadblocks but stepping stones toward something greater.”
