Award-Winning Bass Player A M M Newaj Sharif Gains U.S. Recognition

Bassist, stage performer, and music educator A M M Newaj Sharif, professionally known as Bassman Newaj, is gaining recognition in the United States following a distinguished career in Bangladesh and abroad.

Born on January 7, 1994, Sharif has built a reputation as a versatile and accomplished bass guitarist. Known for his technical precision and expressive playing style, he blends rock, classical, jazz, pop, and folk influences into a distinctive musical voice that resonates with diverse audiences.

In 2025, Bassman Newaj expanded his international presence by performing across the United States as part of the Legacy Tour USA 2025 with the renowned Bangladeshi band Miles. The tour brought the band to multiple cities, where his performances were noted for their energy, creativity, and musical depth.

Throughout his career, Sharif has received several honors, including the Dhallywood Award 2023, Global Music Award 2023, NRB Award 2023, and the Gemini Award 2025. These recognitions reflect his contributions to music performance, composition, and artistic development.
