Chicago has always been a city that produces exceptional talent, with a rich history in both rap and R&B that includes legends like Kanye West, Common, Chance the Rapper, Lil Durk and the iconic group Earth, Wind & Fire. Following in these monumental footsteps is M.T.G., quickly becoming one of Chicago’s most promising artists. Known for his sharp songwriting skills and collaborations with major artists, M.T.G. is now ready to take center stage with a fresh wave of new music and the launch of his own label, Forever Music.

For years, M.T.G. has been crafting tracks that resonate with listeners and have drawn the attention of big names in the industry. His ability to blend introspective lyrics with catchy hooks has led to collaborations with artists like Tink, Tory Lanez, Juicy J, and Dreezy. These collaborations have solidified M.T.G.’s reputation as an artist who not only understands the nuances of urban music but also pushes its boundaries. These experiences have been pivotal in his growth as an artist, but it was a chance encounter that truly changed the trajectory of his career.

After posting a preview of a record called “Only Fans,” M.T.G. received an unexpected email from an A&R at the label. “He told me that the label president overheard him listening to the song and told him to reach out to me,” M.T.G. recalls. “It felt like a dream. After getting everything settled with my lawyer, I had a deal with Roc Nation. Being able to retain my rights as an artist was the cherry on top for me.”

To further his career, M.T.G. made the strategic decision to move out of Chicago, allowing him to expand his reach and tap into new markets. This move, combined with his relentless work ethic, has paid off. Over the past year, his SoundCloud following has grown significantly, reflecting his rising popularity and the increasing demand for his music.

With the launch of Forever Music, M.T.G. is ready to carve out his own path in the music industry. The label is not just a platform for his own work but a space where other artists can thrive creatively while maintaining control over their music. “Forever Music is about more than just me,” M.T.G. explains. “It’s about creating a community where artists can grow and build something lasting.”

Chicago’s music scene is renowned for its depth and diversity. From the soulful melodies of Sam Cooke and Curtis Mayfield to the cutting-edge sounds of Lupe Fiasco and Jennifer Hudson, the city’s influence on the music industry is undeniable. M.T.G. is poised to add his name to the list of Chicago artists who have made a significant impact on rap and R&B. His ability to navigate the complexities of the music world, combined with his commitment to authenticity, positions him for success in an industry where Chicago has already made a lasting mark.

Now, with new music on the horizon, M.T.G. is poised to make a significant impact on the music industry. All eyes are on him as he prepares to take his well-deserved place in the spotlight. As Chicago continues to be a breeding ground for musical talent, M.T.G. stands out as an artist with the potential to leave a lasting legacy, not just in the city, but on the global stage.
