K-pop sensation Tomorrow X Together (TXT) has launched their first-ever U.S. pop-up stores in Los Angeles and Chicago, offering fans an experience centered around their newly introduced “PPULBATU” characters. The Los Angeles store, located at 7620 Melrose Ave, is welcoming fans from August 30 to October 13, 2024. Meanwhile, the Chicago store, situated at 3009 N Broadway St, will operate from September 14 to October 27, 2024.

These pop-up stores feature a wide array of merchandise, including apparel, accessories, and collectibles. They showcase the PPULBATU characters and provide a unique opportunity for TXT’s dedicated fanbase, known as Moments of Alwaysness (MOA), to engage with the group’s creative vision tangibly.

The World of PPULBATU

The PPULBATU characters are TXT’s way of storytelling and fostering fan engagement. The name itself is a clever blend of the Korean word for “horn” (ppul) and “Tomorrow X Together,” paying homage to the symbolism introduced in the group’s debut track, “Crown.”

Each character is meticulously crafted to embody the distinct personality and artistic flair of a TXT member. Choi Yong Meong represents Soobin, Hwang Chun brings Yeonjun’s essence to life, Bamgeut captures Beomgyu’s spirit, Dagonyang embodies Taehyun, and Heumnyaring reflects Huening Kai’s charm.

A spokesperson for TXT shared, “The creation of PPULBATU was collaborative. The members were deeply involved in every aspect, from the initial sketches to the development of each character’s distinct traits and quirks.”

TXT’s PPULBATU pop-up stores are proof of K-pop’s increasing influence in the United States. As groups like BTS and BLACKPINK continue to make significant strides in the American music market, the demand for immersive K-pop experiences and merchandise has skyrocketed.
