Stranger Things concluded its fourth season months earlier, with the death of characters that fans fell in love with.

Despite the number of characters who died, star Millie Bobby Brown believes more other characters should have died.

The Stranger Things actress recently joined Vanity Fair’s Lie Detector Test while promoting Enola Holmes 2, which is now streaming on Netflix.

During the event, Millie Bobby Brown dropped truth bombs about the hit Netflix show that boosted her career.

While strapped to a polygraph, the Stranger Things actress looked like she was hooked up to a lab machine right out of the show.

The questions

An off-screen interviewer asked Millie Bobby Brown several questions about the show.

“Your Stranger Things co-star Maya Hawke thought more characters should’ve died at the end of season four. Do you agree?”

“I do, yeah,” Brown quickly responded.

The interviewer quickly followed up after her answer and asked who else she thought should have died.

Millie Bobby Brown tried to avoid the question before saying Eleven should have died.

However, the lie detector found a lie, and the actress gave an ambiguous answer.

Still pressured, Brown said: “I think if Maya thinks that, maybe Robin.”

The interviewer asked the actress for her opinion, and Brown responded if that was what Maya Hawke wanted for her character.

Regarding Eddie Munson, Millie Bobby Brown said the writers made the right choice.

Season five

During the test, interviewers tried to get Millie Bobby Brown to share more details about Season 5 of Stranger Things, but she didn’t give in.

Although there is no release date, the Duffer Brothers have confirmed that the story will take place entirely in Hawkins.

During an appearance on Josh Horowitz’s Happy Sad Confused podcast, Matt Duffer said he and Ross wanted to go back to the things they did in the first season.

“A lot of the original groups and pairings that we had in season one,” he elaborated.

“There’s something nice about coming full circle.”

The Duffer brothers also reassured fans that next season’s episodes won’t be as long as the last season’s episodes.

“For the first time ever, we don’t wrap things up at the end of [Season] four, so it’s going to be moving,” the Stranger Things creators said.

“I don’t know that it’s going to be going 100 miles an hour at the start of five, but it’s going to be moving pretty fast.”

“Characters are already going to be in action,” they continued.

“They’re already going to have a goal and a drive, and I think that’s going to carve out at least a couple hours and make this season feel really different.”

Drag in danger as Tennessee law seeks to ban shows

Drag has been on the rise for the past few decades but now shows in Tennessee are in danger of being banned.

Reports say Tennessee Republicans want to ban drag shows on public or private property.

The report

In a reverse turn of events, GOP members introduced a bill that would make drag appearances a crime if legislated.

Under Bill SB.3, charges range from a misdemeanor to a felony.

Although the bill is broad, it ranges from comedy to drag shows to story hours at local libraries.

Statements

Tennessee Senate Majority Leader Jack Johnson makes it clear that the laws will identify those in drag.

“I don’t want to ban a theater company from doing a production of Mrs. Doubtfire in a public park,” he said.

“Most people have seen that movie where Robin Williams was dressing up as a woman. We don’t have an issue with that.”

“We do have an issue with men dressed as women simulating sex acts in public parks in front of kids.”

The bill

If approved, Johnson’s bill will change a Tennessee state law that prevents adult-oriented businesses from operating within 300 meters of a school, public park or a place of worship to include “cabaret shows for adults.”

The law stretches to exotic dancers and “male or female impersonators.”

If the bill passes through the Republican-controlled Legislature and wins Governor Bill Lee’s approval, first-time offenders could be guilty of a Class A misdemeanor.

Additionally, the offense is punishable by up to one year in jail and a harsh $2,500 fine.

Repeat offenders will be charged with a Class E felony, resulting in a harsher sentence for drag queens.

Finally, the sentence could go as high as six years in prison with fines of up to $3,000.

The Tennessee Senate Majority Leader won re-election in the midterm elections and vowed to uphold the state’s conservative values.

One of Johnson’s success factors was his belief that marriage should be the sacred union of a man and a woman.

This week, Jack Johnson joined Tennessee House Majority Leader and fellow Republican William Lamberth to present a new bill.

The bill would prevent doctors from providing life-saving and gender-affirming health care to transgender young people under 18.
