Visionary Volunteer Dani Stephenson Receives the Prestigious Platinum Champions Award in Celebration for Her Majesty The Queen’s 70-Year Reign

This year marks the 70-year reign of Her Majesty The Queen. As part of the series of festivities, the Royal Voluntary Service, headed by the Duchess of Cornwall, has organized The Platinum Champions Awards. Created in honor of Her Majesty and the great example she has set in her 70 years of service to the people, it is an accolade created for the Platinum Jubilee to award volunteers who have made significant and impactful contributions to the community.

There were thousands of contenders for the award aged between 16 to 101 from all over the United Kingdom. Among these nominees, 490 were handpicked on the 4th of June 2022 by an esteemed judging panel that includes Ade Adepitan MBE, Gyles Brandreth, Elaine Paige OBE, Felicity Kendal CBE, Julie Siddiqi MBE, Myleene Klass and Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Cornwall.

All of the honorees received a uniquely designed Platinum Champion Jubilee pin and a signed certificate from Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Cornwall on behalf of Her Majesty The Queen for the Platinum Jubilee.

Dani Stephenson, Platinum Champion honoree

One inspiring honoree who received the prestigious Platinum Champions Award is entrepreneur and philanthropist Dani Stephenson. The 38-year-old hails from Essex, London and is known for his remarkable engagement in voluntary work that spans over 21 years.

He first started volunteering when he was only 16 years old at the Tovil Quality Of Life community house. This initiative elevates the overall quality of life for underprivileged residents.

On top of that, he is associated with numerous charitable organizations like the Prince’s Trust, UNICEF, LEWA, Street Child, and The Royal Versailles Ball at the Palace of Versailles.

Eventually, Dani Stephenson decided to start his own charity called Straight Forward Giving. The charity initiative was designed to empower people, specifically the youth from impoverished and deprived areas, by giving them access to education and mentorship. Moreover, it utilizes the power of music, film, and art to facilitate social mobility.

What motivated the visionary man to create the venture is his passion for helping build a better future for underprivileged individuals and communities nationwide. Since its inception in 2015, Straight Forward Giving has assisted countless beneficiaries.

Aside from that, the outstanding man has demonstrated an incredible commitment to his advocacies, especially during the global pandemic. In addition, he fought to keep his voluntary projects running by honoring his charitable obligations and providing ongoing mentoring to mentees by keeping his London Kings Cross creative studios available to the public.

As a testament to his unrivaled contributions to the community, Dani Stephenson and his charitable organization has received other distinctions. On the 8th of February 2022, he was invited to 10 Downing Street as one of the recipients of the prestigious Points Of Light honor by the UK’s Prime Minister, Boris Johnson. 

The award serves as an acknowledgment of his continued contributions to the creative community by championing the voices of young aspiring artists from disadvantaged backgrounds. Dani Stephenson is undoubtedly one of the most inspiring individuals who help uplift communities and the people across the United Kingdom.
