Under the leadership of His Royal Highness Prince Fahad bin Mansour bin Nasser bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and with NEOM as a primary strategic partner, Saudi Arabia’s delegation has arrived in Brazil to participate in the Startup 20 Summit. This event, a prominent platform for entrepreneurship and investment within G20 nations, takes place in São Paulo from September 9–13, 2024.

The summit aims to strengthen collaboration between Saudi Arabia and Brazil, focusing on supporting startups, fostering innovation, and addressing the challenges entrepreneurs face in global markets.

Prince Fahad bin Mansour, head of the Saudi delegation, emphasized the significance of the event: “We are honored to represent the Kingdom at the Startup 20 Summit, a global platform for driving innovation and exchanging expertise among G20 countries. Our goal is to contribute to building a global ecosystem that supports entrepreneurship and addresses the challenges it faces.”

He also highlighted NEOM’s pivotal role as a hub of innovation in Saudi Arabia. “NEOM’s visionary projects attract leading talent from around the world, creating an ideal environment for entrepreneurs and innovators across all sectors. NEOM offers professionals, startups, and major companies exceptional opportunities to achieve success through their participation in its development,” he said.

“NEOM is not just a futuristic region; it represents a comprehensive vision for the future, aiming to build an innovative and sustainable economy. It seeks to tackle the world’s pressing challenges by fostering creativity and embracing unconventional solutions,” Prince Fahad added.

The Saudi delegation includes representatives from government, the private sector, non-profits, as well as prominent Saudi entrepreneurs and investors. Saudi Arabia’s participation in the summit marks a significant step in advancing its Vision 2030 goals, particularly in driving innovation and growing the economy through the increased contributions of small and medium-sized enterprises. The event also serves as a platform to attract investments, showcase successful entrepreneurial ventures, and highlight Saudi initiatives that create opportunities for startups.

Saudi Arabia’s presence at the summit includes a dedicated exhibition showcasing its entrepreneurship ecosystem, with contributions from government, private, and non-profit sectors. Various panel discussions will feature global and local experts sharing insights on innovation and addressing challenges faced by entrepreneurs.

NEOM’s strategic role as an official sponsor of Saudi Arabia’s side event aligns with its vision of creating vibrant communities that attract peak minds, entrepreneurs, and investors.
