Tom Brady: The Greatest Patriot Ever

The 199th overall pick in the 2000 NFL Draft left a significant mark on the league, becoming a seven-time Super Bowl champion, leaving no doubt that he’s the greatest NFL player of all time and one of the best athletes ever to exist.

Brady’s journey in the league wasn’t easy or standard, as he had to take over from an injured quarterback, and as soon as he stepped on the field, everything changed for him and his team.

TB12 took the league by storm with the Patriots, becoming the present and the future for a franchise that would live the most significant moments of its history with the University of Michigan alumni showing the way.

In 285 games with the Pats, Brady racked up 74,571 yards and 541 touchdowns and intercepted 179 during his career. He won six of his seven championships in Foxboro, going against doubters and haters, letting his game do the talking, and then barking at those who wanted to see him fail.

Robert Kraft had nothing but great things to say about Brady, who retired for the second and final time after a decent season with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

“No player in NFL history has done it as well for as long as Tom Brady,” Kraft said in a statement. “He is the fiercest competitor I have ever known and the ultimate champion. He led the Patriots to two decades of unprecedented dominance. He is truly the greatest of all time.”

Ever since he left the Pats in 2019, New England hasn’t won more than 10 games in a season. In 2019, they posted a 12-4 record, going all the way and winning the Super Bowl LIII against the Los Angeles Rams.

The Patriots went 7-9 in 2020, 10-7 in 2021, and 8-9 in 2022, respectively. They have tried finding a new Brady, but nothing has worked. Cam Newton had a short stint with the team but never worked out.

Now Mac Jones is in charge of leading this team to the promised land but it’s costing more than expected.

On the other end, Brady won one more championship with the Buccaneers before calling a career not once but twice.

Brady posted a 219-66 record during his Patriots stint, and after he left, they’ve posted a 25-25 record. For 18 years, Brady was the heart and soul of this team. With big weapons like Randy Moss, Julian Edelman, Danny Amendola, Rob Gronkowski, and others, the quarterback was very successful, and every year he was a championship favorite.

Finding a talent like Brady and developing them into what TB12 ended up becoming won’t be easy, and the Patriots appear to be waiting for this opportunity. The Patriots were Brady, and Brady was the Patriots, and since he left the team, nothing has been the same.

Tom Brady is the greatest player of all time, the most excellent Patriot of all time, and the most famous Patriot ever. His impact on the team was huge, and those six championships perfectly sum up how crucial Brady was for his squad.
