Tucson Plastic Surgery Helps Breast Cancer Patients Regain Confidence Through Restorative Procedures

Plastic surgery is not just for beauty enhancements. Indeed, the biggest thing it brings people is a life-changing boost in confidence. In particular, Tucson Plastic Surgery helps breast cancer patients regain their confidence through plastic surgery, bringing a more holistic face to what is commonly known as merely the act of changing people’s physical attributes.

Tucson Plastic Surgery is one a plastic surgery practice in the southwest US, catering to parties who fly in from various parts of the United States and Canada. The plastic surgery destination is home to some of the most seasoned doctors and medical practitioners in the field, ensuring that patients are given nothing but the complete care in their recovery and journey to healing.

Tucson Plastic Surgery caters to patients who are looking for cosmetic surgery to be done on their breast, including breast augmentation, breast implant exchange, breast implant removal, complex breast revision, breast reduction, restorative surgery, tuberous breast, and more. Besides that, the practice also offers more services, such as tummy tucks, liposuction, eyelid surgery, facelift, neck lift, and laser skin resurfacing, to name a few.

The practice is led by two of the best names in the field of plastic surgery: Dr. Raman Mahabir and Dr. Silvia Kurtovic, both of which are incredibly passionate about helping breast cancer patients regain a sense of wholeness through plastic surgery.

Dr. Mahabir is board certified by both the American Board of Plastic Surgery and the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. He was one of the proponents of the Breast Cancer Patient Education Act signed into law in 2015. Recently, Dr. Mahabir shared his expertise by writing and supporting the Breast Implant Illness bill, which has passed through the Senate and is on its way to becoming a law.

On the other hand, Dr. Kurtovic is renowned for her contributions in the areas of plastic and reconstructive surgery. Inspired by her mother’s breast cancer journey, Dr. Kurtovic uses a holistic and empathetic approach to breast reconstruction, microsurgery, and cosmetic surgery.

“We are committed to delivering an unparalleled patient experience as one of the most trusted names in plastic surgery to rebuild, restore, and rejuvenate your authentic self,” explained the doctors. “Our mission is to provide you with unparalleled experience by taking time to listen and understand your individual needs and concerns. We believe creating a custom-tailored plan based on your goals, and unique anatomy is essential to achieving good possible results,” he added.

The practice is located in the beautiful Tucson area, surrounded by championship golf courses, peaceful spas, world-class resorts, and trend-setting restaurants, making the entire experience that much more relaxing for patients.

Complimenting the warm welcome Tucson provides, Tucson Plastic Surgery also aims to match the same standards. First, patients come in for a consultation to give them time to explain and highlight their areas of concern. The consultation can also be done through the practice’s online communication portal. Next, the patients will be scheduled for their visit to the state-certified surgery center, where they will have concrete dates for pre-op appointments, the actual date of the surgery, and post-op appointments.

Knowing that many of their patients come from abroad, the team at Tucson Plastic Surgery provides them with packets through the mail to fully equip their patients before traveling.

Lastly, the recovery stage. If needed, Tucson Plastic Surgery allows their patients to stay in their aftercare facility to fully regenerate and be professionally tended to with everything they need for their post-op needs.

Rhys Kelly Going Against Fast Fashion With Her Personalized Pieces

Today, so much of the fashion, jewelry, and accessories that we see are mass produced, cheap, and the result of unethical fast fashion practices. Rhys Kelly, designer of unique eye themed jewelry, is making a stand against fast fashion in her process. Each jewelry piece she creates is one-of-a-kind and handmade, breaking the mold of disposable, trend-oriented products that harm the planet. Instead, her individualized designs and handmade process result in a piece that is entirely bespoke, and worthy of being passed down through generations.

Fascinated by the human eye, Rhys Kelly has centered her creative production around the eye as a motif and has developed a popular and exquisite line of jewelry as a result. “Eyes have always fascinated me because no one sees the world in the exact same way,” says Rhys. “Despite this, we all have common experiences like love and loss. Too often we are wrapped up in our own little worlds and discredit the perspectives of those around us.”

These common experiences shared by all humans are represented in her work by the image of the human eye. She hand-paints the eye for each piece to match anyone’s eye color and sets the piece into personalized jewelry. Each customer winds up with a one-of-a-kind piece unique to their own eye.

The customizable and made-to-order pieces unite each customer through the symbol of the eye and its representation of the human soul while remaining distinct in their individuality, just like each person on this planet.

As each piece is hand painted, no two pieces look the same and these can’t be mass-produced. Eyes and the connection we feel to others through the eyes, by making eye contact, or reading people’s emotions and expressions in their eyes makes this symbol extremely personal, intimate, and deep. Rather than representing sentimentality through a birth stone or monogram, using a hand painted replica of one’s eye is a meaningful gesture and a great expression of love, memory and longevity.

Each piece that Rhys Kelly creates is not only unique, but of a quality that will last generations. “Imagine having the opportunity to inherit a ring that has your grandmother’s eye on it. The potential for personal and inter-generational legacy within each of these pieces is what drives me to make them and put them out into the world.”

The exceptional detail present in each piece distinguishes them from so much of the jewelry available today. In addition to eye pendants and rings, Rhys Kelly’s line includes lockets, earrings, playful beaded jewelry with charms and small fun beads hanging off them, jelly rings, phone accessories, and much more. Consistent through every item is a fine sensitivity to detail, personalization, and small surprises when you look deeper into every piece of jewelry.

Rhys Kelly jewelry prides itself in offering meaningful and sentimental pieces to people of all genders and all-ages and uniting the planet one eye at a time.

Youngest Government Foreign Policy Consultant, Sara Ketabi, from the US, Dishes on Working with Libya Govt. During Civil War and Biggest Takeaways

UN-affiliated, international Policy Advisor and Public Figure Sara Ketabi is known for being the Founder of CollatEd Lab, a policy lab dedicated to accelerating global governance and development. The young innovator has already made a name for herself with long-term strides in her diplomacy and international affairs career, such as working alongside the Prime Minister of Libya, H.E. Abdullah Al-Thinni, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Dr. Abdulhadi Ibrahim Lahweej on domestic foreign policy and other cross-cutting  issues.

“Libya is one of the richest countries in North Africa but home to some of the poorest people,” Ketabi says. “This in itself reveals to be largely a systemic issue that continues to be addressed by acknowledging appropriate levels of intervention and implementing actionable foreign policy strategies,” Ketabi adds.

As a leading foreign policy and international development consultant in Africa, Ketabi’s ongoing projects in Libya focus on post-conflict development, human rights, public health, and sustainable foreign policy through a unified governance lens. To date, on behalf of CollatEd Lab, she has conducted research and hosted federal policy consultations on the geopolitical implications of sustainable development on international security, and for using foreign policy as an intersectional tool to steer a (sustainable) social transformation in an effort to minimize the consequences of civil-war-rooted human rights infringements within the past decade of conflict in Libya.

As Libya is entering a new era of political innovation and state-building, the rest of the developing world will similarly and continuously rely on multi-sectoral partnerships with organizations as transparently unique and powerful as CollatEd Lab and institutions such as the United Nations for access to solutions-oriented academic research and reliable resources in dealing with highly complex human rights, democracy, foreign affairs, and other current challenges to civil society.

Sara has delivered her policy insights at different top universities across the US, Norway, and Africa through the Sustainability Think Tanks initiative she founded, connecting these institutions’ resources with international governments and the UN, facilitating multi-sectoral collaboration. This has proven to be the most useful strategy integral to her foreign policy consulting. As a result, she had the opportunity to collaborate with internal governments to improve data analysis systems with prime ministers for greater appreciation and application of data analytics, sparking a transformative shift in Libya and international African politics.

The Libyan government has accepted a position on her NGO’s Global Advisory Board and is committed to the organization’s expansion and impact. Because of this ongoing collaboration, Ketabi has been nominated and recently appointed as a Senior Lecturer in global health and human rights at the University of Benghazi, where she teaches field-specific research methods and details on breakthroughs of the NGO’s policy projects. She has also been given (by the Prime Minister) the 2020 Technology and Government Champion Award for significant contributions to the development of Libya. As a consequence, Libya has recently renewed a 5-year partnership and investment contract with CollatEd.

With CollatEd Lab and its CEO, Sara, Libya is looking to revitalize diplomacy training over the next ten years to further integrate academia in multilateralism policymaking.
