Jean Fallacara on The Constant Assurance of Change and Why We Should Look Forward to it!

Before we ponder over this musing, let’s get to know Jean Fallacara and the strides that led him here. Fallacara is a serial entrepreneur, scientist, author, motivational speaker, and athlete born in France from Italian parents. He is the founder of Z-SCIENCES Corporation, a Engineering & biotechnology firm, Cyborggainz Neuroscience Calisthenics Lab, the world’s first human optimization program in the fitness industry that offers workout plans based on neuroscience and owner of the magazine Biohackers Update.

With close to three decades of experience in the tech and fitness industry, Fallacara has become a force to be reckoned with.

In the recent turn of events, specifically the acquisition of Fallacara’s Biotech group by inTEST Corporation (NYSE:INTT), Mr. Fallacara and his staff will be joining inTEST and the business will be integrated into the Thermal segment. In connection with his new role as Managing Director, Mr. Fallacara would receive a multi-year restricted stock award with vesting provisions which would be contingent upon achieving future performance milestones related to sales growth and profitability of products related to the Z-Sciences business.

inTEST Corporation, is a global supplier of innovative test and process solutions for use in manufacturing and testing across a wide range of markets, including automotive, defense/aerospace, industrial, medical, semiconductor and telecommunications, known for designing and manufacturing thermal test and process cooling systems.

When asked about this significant leap in his career that came on October 7th, 2021. Fallacara exclaimed, when you go from lifetime entrepreneur to Managing Director in a publicly traded company, life takes a 360 turn, but change is something that we either face head-on or run in the opposite direction from.

Such changes are hard, nearly impossible even, but the universe has a funny way of making things turn out the way we want them to. He goes on to add that the acquisition of Z-Sciences Corp by inTEST corporation was one of the crucial turns in his life which without a doubt made a lot of noise in the business industry.

He understands the fact that all of us are afraid of what we don’t know… We seem to not fully register the number of things in the world that are unknown to us, those forces around us that are constantly changing in an uncomfortable nonlinear notion. And when push comes to shove, it feels difficult, and we end up literally fighting against our own mind in the process, but it is fully necessary in order to accept the change and go with the flow.

While growing through this life-altering transition, Fallacara says that stress management and resiliency gave him the necessary tools to rest his broken alarm system in order to lead a happier life. He goes on to add that no matter how amazing the stress management techniques are, a person will never be able to live a fully stress-free life. For him, Cortisol helped achieve his goals safely and beneficially! Fallacara says that when going through a transition, we often finally find out what kind of person we are or at least get a solid idea of it. It shows us what we can and can’t handle and most importantly learning about ourselves. We then begin to genuinely flourish and then know how to handle any situation thrown at us to the best of our abilities because now we understand the benefits always outweigh the nervosity behind it.

Having had an epiphany during this time, Fallacara highlights the fact that as adults we often prioritize materialistic things such as money or a good job in hopes of actually achieving happiness, something we never had to fight so hard for as a child. But something changes as we grow older and we lose track of the objective, figuring it was too hard to feel the one emotion that was always supposed to drive you and we end up settling for an empty home and a bag of money. Changing up our routine, accepting change with open arms, hell, running towards it opens a person up to the self to opportunities, people, experiences… This helps us open ourselves to what life is really all about. We are changing every single day mentally and physically. Every morning neurogenesis in our mind occurs as we wake up with newly made neurons. You don’t even realize it but your brain is not the same it was last night! Change teaches us everything we’ve learned so far: it is very little we’ve been taught that comes from repeating the same action over and over again. Essential skills such as resilience and elevated thinking are grown from inconsistency, when we are put in a situation where there is nothing, we can do but adapt (or die.)

Maybe if we understood how common and constant change is, we wouldn’t be so afraid of it. As Mark Divine explains: “Regularly seeking out fresh experiences helps you to be more creative and emotionally resistant. Avoiding the discomfort that comes with growth will only continue to make you uncomfortable.” Leading by his example – Falacara points out a number of variables that entirely flipped his life leaving him, with big life changes on the way: and yet though there is nervousness, he was not afraid. He says that moving to Boston MA, closer to the business from the city of Montreal that has allowed him to become the person he is today for 20 years is a radical change that makes him feel a bit anxious every time he thinks about it, but he always reminds himself how boring life could’ve been. He wants to personally remind everyone that change is not only possible, but it is inevitable, just like water in the spring or snowfalls in the winter. Even after experiencing positive or negative, abundance or absence of whatever it is that keeps you going in life, there is still always something to learn, there will always be just a little bit more to learn because humankind in itself is an ongoing change, and we are roped too tight into it to escape.

On an ending note, Fallacara says, ‘Yesterday I felt clever and wanted to change the world but today, I feel wise and so I change myself in the hope of a better world with my upcoming mission at inTest!’
