For more than a decade, Marvel Studios has primarily focused on releasing content for theatrical releases. However, in recent years they have released shows associated with the Marvel Cinematic Universe, or MCU, especially since the beginning of phase four.
While some projects have been more successful than others, the Hawkeye series is among the show’s most successful as it brought back Jeremy Renner’s Clint Barton as the title character and also introduced viewers to Hailee Steinfeld’s Kate Bishop.
Throughout the show, Steinfeld quickly became a fan favorite.

Variety recently reported that fans wouldn’t be seeing her for the last time as Steinfeld is set to return as Kate Bishop in various MCU projects.
“A ‘Hawkeye’ spinoff centered around the character Echo (played by Alaqua Cox) is currently in the works,” the article wrote. “And while it has not been officially confirmed, sources say that there are plans for Steinfeld to reprise the role of Kate Bishop in other MCU projects going forward.”
Toward the end of the series, Bishop improved her coin tossing skills and adopted Lucky the Pizza Dog. She also battled Kingpin and Black Widow Yelena Belova, earning herself the name Hawkeye.
Although Hawkeye season 2 has not yet been confirmed, there are indications that the renewal will be arriving soon.
Hailee Steinfeld becomes another permanent member of the MCU as a founding member of the Young Avengers, a major team in the comics with several members introduced during Phase Four.
There are currently many rumors of Steinfeld’s return to the MCU. There have been hints of her appearing in the upcoming Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania film, while there have been hints of an appearance in the finale of Ms. Marvel’s performance reports.
Steinfeld’s Ant-Man rumors first surfaced in December when she was spotted on the UK set. Fans speculate she’ll collect more Pym Particle Arrows or try to recruit Kathryn Newton’s Cassie Lang (the superheroine Stature in the comics) in the Young Avengers.
As most actors and characters in the MCU age, Hailee Steinfeld’s Kate Bishop will become a franchise staple for years to come.
