Learn Authentic Yoga, an Antidote to a Chaotic World

More than ten percent of the US population is practising some form of yoga.

Mostly it is some form of physical exercise or breathing exercise. However authentic yoga is far from the reach of most Americans. Using yoga to get into shape, lose weight or have better butts is a very superficial application. Some benefit from guided meditation and experience peacefulness. The true aim of yoga is the union of the body, mind and soul which is not taught in most of the yoga classes. The commercialization principles of marketing teach us to consumers what they and target messages which will appeal to them. So the entire essence of yoga is distorted and modified brutally to serve the pleasure seeking audiences. This ugliness keeps the people away from the sweet nectar of god realisation which is the true aim of scientific yoga techniques.

There is a common myth which is stopping the wide acceptance of yoga as a scientific method towards god realization. Most people think that practising yoga will make you a Hindu. This is completely wrong. Just because the spiritual roots of yoga are from ancient India it doesn’t mean yoga is Hinduism. The aim of yoga is to make you a better Christian if you are a Christian, A better Hindu if you are a Hindu or a better Muslim if you follow islam.Even if you do not believe in God or any religion you can practice yoga as we all accept there is cosmic intelligence or a super power above us which governs everything. The goal of yoga is establishing connection with that super power which is hidden within us by the veil of cosmic delusion.

It is a universal truth based on the science of the human body, mind and soul. The scientist Patanjali who wrote the textbook of Yoga was an enlightened saint who has only in 188 verses described the possibilities of human potentials which modern day scientists are barely comprehending and proving in labs.

We are trained to think ‘ I believe what I see’ and often we do not develop our intuitive faculties. With the focus on the third eye or the spiritual eye ,you can see things which you can’t with your two physical eyes.  With yoga practices as you harness your energies away from the sense objects and begin the process of interiorization you develop intuitive intelligence and wisdom which alters your life in a very positive way. One stops chasing external material objects for seeking pleasures and realises all source of Joy is within you. There is feeling of oneness amongst all beings and the divisiveness of racial and socio economic discrimination completely fades away as you see your own reflection in all beings.Daily practice of yoga is very essential for great results. One often feels busy in the modern day chaotic world to find time for oneself. As one remembers to charge a mobile phone daily for better performance so one must find time to charge the soul battery in meditation for better life. There is definitely a way out of sorrow and suffering. Learning authentic yoga from the Himalayan Yoga master is the way. Shiv Vinay Pandey is offering online classes to help people experience peace and blissfulness with their authentic yoga techniques.

Axiom Chiropractic Drawing Attention to Chiropractic Service and Serving Patients with the Best Care

Optimal health is non-negotiable, and the process of achieving that cuts across taking care of every part of the body. So for Dr. Tyler Hartley and Dr. Megan Hullihen, establishing Axiom Chiropractic was a needed move as it gave them the chance to carry out life-changing, powerful and healing work every day.

Through Axiom Chiropractic, the experienced medical professionals aim to show the world that chiropractic is more than fixing neck and back pain. In Dr. Tyler’s words, “It’s a holistic approach to health designed to improve overall body function and optimize performance.” At Axiom Chiropractic, health is a top priority, and all the medical professionals working at the facility understand that fact. Dr. Tyler and Dr. Megan also make sure to pass along the necessary education to keep patients up-to-date about the right decisions they need to make to ensure optimal health for their bodies.

Axiom Chiropractic’s operation thrives on the individualized approach to treating patients. “We understand that no two people are the same. So we take the time to discover your wants, but more importantly your needs, and deliver the best results in the Charlotte area,” Dr. Tyler said.

The practice utilizes the most specific full-spine chiropractic adjusting technique called the Gonstead Method, which applies five different criteria to identify the cause of a health concern. This method has been highly successful and has played a massive role in the high level of trust that many patients have in Axiom Chiropractic.

“We believe that the amazing results we achieve are credited to detailed nervous system exams, as well as attention to specificity when delivering the chiropractic adjustment. When performed correctly, the chiropractic adjustment will alleviate nerve pressure at the root and allow proper efferent and afferent signals between the brain and body to take place,” Dr. Megan Hullihen explained.

Axiom Chiropractic has plugged itself to the center of educating the entire Charlotte community and beyond about where health truly comes from and connecting the bridge between symptoms or chronic health concerns and how chiropractic procedures correct those problems. In receiving this education, patients get both evidence and knowledge to understand everything about their health and what they need to do or not do.

“We always use objective measurements before we perform any adjustment. We must know when to correct, but even more importantly, we need to know when not to adjust. We cannot juxtapose one for the other to avoid issues,” Dr. Tyler Hartley shared.Over the next few years, Dr. Tyler Hartley and Dr. Megan hope to make Axiom Chiropractic’s office one of the busiest in the greater Charlotte area, focusing on families, pediatrics and athletes. The ultimate goal is to reduce the use of pharmaceuticals and surgery to the barest minimum while putting the power back in the patients’ hands regarding decisions about their health.

How to Reduce Stress and Motivate Yourself

Stress – What’s your most cherished value? We all have driving forces that keep us inspired and motivated, whether it’s supporting our loved ones, giving to those in need, finding fulfillment in our work, or making a difference in our community.

Determining your most cherished value and using it to your advantage can drastically change your approach to your work, infusing you with additional internal motivation, says Rebecca Greenbaum, Ph.D., professor of human resource management at Rutgers University’s School of Management and Labor Relations.

That’s where value triggers come in. Value triggers are items that represent something that matters deeply to you — for example, a key ring that belonged to your grandmother can be used as a value trigger representing how you prioritize family. “A value trigger is a physical reminder of your core values,” Steven Hayes, Ph.D., professor of psychology at the University of Nevada and author of A Liberated Mind, tells Thrive. “It is there to help you refocus back on what matters most to you, making you more inclined to act in line with your highest ideals.”

Value triggers are especially effective at keeping your work life on track. “Having purpose prompts employees to want to go to work and do a good job, without focusing as much on external rewards,” Greenbaum explains. “When the going gets tough, an employee’s sense of purpose reminds them of the importance of their work, and gives them the fortitude to move forward.”

Here are four expert-backed tips for finding your own value trigger:

1. Do some soul-searching

Before you choose an object to act as your value trigger, it’s important to make sure you’ve chosen a value that truly resonates with you. Hayes stresses the importance of avoiding choosing certain values due to pressure from others. For example, if your mother greatly values tradition, but you value independence, make sure to follow through with what you believe — not with what will make others happy.

Additionally, Hayes urges against choosing values you believe you should have — that will only create internal distress. “Values chosen out of emotional avoidance or entangled ‘have to’ thoughts push you down rather than lift you up,” he tells Thrive. “True values are something you seek — they are not methods of running away.”

And make sure your value integrates naturally into everything you do. “The ones that work best are intrinsic to being and doing, such as behaving honestly or lovingly,” Hayes says. “Values like that protect you from stress reactivity and burnout.”

2. Choose your item carefully

Value triggers come in all shapes and sizes. A few common examples include pictures, jewelry, or even a Post-It note, Hayes notes. He also suggests using more intangible things, such as a mantra or ringtone. Greenbaum proposes displaying quotes in your office, or creating an email signature that is meaningful to you, to serve as daily reminders of your core value.

The key here is choosing something that fits naturally into your daily life. Set yourself up for success by making interaction with your value trigger inevitable. “If you want to be reminded of the values you bring to your home life, pick a trigger, like the keys of your car, that you will have to interact with before you go home,” Hayes says. “If you take your wedding ring off at night, use that little moment of putting it back on in the morning to think about the kind of spouse you want to be that day.”

Many people already carry around value triggers without realizing it: pictures of loved ones in your wallet or on your desk, wedding rings, or award certificates hanging on your office walls. The trick is making use of that trigger.

3. Tap into the power of rituals

Value triggers are effective — but only when you actually use them. Hayes explains that value triggers are something of a use it or lose it scenario. Simply having a value trigger isn’t enough to reap the benefits.

In order to get the maximum benefit, you have to make a habit of finding meaning in your value triggers, Greenbaum notes. Rituals can enhance a person’s self-control, and allow them to focus on what’s most important. Employees should start their work days reminding themselves about their values, and how they’ll uphold those values throughout the day, she says.

4. Reflect and reevaluate as you go

Remain mindful about what matters and never take values for granted. Both experts emphasize the importance of deep reflection throughout the process of choosing and utilizing value triggers.

Reflecting on values regularly allows you to continually determine their importance in your life. “Make a concerted effort to reflect on your values before entering a situation where those values may be challenged,” says Greenbaum. “By actively and strategically thinking about the application of your values, they will become an integral part of how you work — rather than something that you attend to only when it is convenient.”

And don’t be afraid to reevaluate your values as the need arises. People change over time, and so do their values. By reevaluating, you can make sure that the value you choose to prioritize always matches up with where you are. “It’s okay if your values change. The idea is not to find the ‘ideal’ value, but to be actively engaged in the process of finding out what matters most to you. Hold them lightly, but pursue them passionately,” Hayes says.

Milk Tyson Declares War against Childhood Cancer with His Non-Profit Organization Fighting All Monsters

To this very day, cancer continues to ravage the world as one of the most deadly incurable diseases. As the world continues to find a cure and hopefully purge the bane of cancer, a disease that has affected countless families and individuals all over the world, non-profit organizations are offering support for cancer patients, survivors, and family members who have been greatly affected by the disease. Fighting All Monsters stands at the forefront, supporting children with cancer by providing them with avenues to reconnect with their mothers and enjoy the finer things in life.

An initiative founded by the remarkable Milk Tyson, Fighting All Monsters is an active non-profit organization that was established at the tail end of 2018 to help kids fighting childhood cancer. The organization aims to destroy all the negative notions of childhood cancer where the typical response is to be sad, forcing these children to be overlooked rather than being focused on.

Since the establishment of Fighting All Monsters, more famously abbreviated as FAM, the organization has taken the non-profit sector by storm. FAM gained a huge push when 2020 began with Diddy taking 12 kids and FAM on the Ellen Show. “We were ready to have our grand opening, but then COVID-19 came, and we had to restart,” explained Milk Tyson.

In an unfortunate turn of events, FAM was held back, but Milk Tyson never gave up on his dream of helping victims of childhood cancer. It’s undeniable that FAM is looking at the nonprofit world in a different light. Instead of throwing a big fancy gala for the donors of the charity, Milk Tyson has decided to hold an event for the actual participants instead.

Fighting All Monsters invited 60 moms all across 30 states and flew them to Islamorada, Florida, in the Keys Ocean Views free of charge. They provided the families with six waterfront mansions provided by Keys Ocean Views. The participants had private chefs for all catered meals, live shows, fireworks, 24-hour beach massages, pedicures, manicures, facials, waxing, and many more.

Excursions were offered, such as paddle boarding, sightseeing on boats, snorkeling for the entire group, and shopping trips. The trip was 100% free to all the moms that were invited. These moms all had kids who have childhood cancer or other medically complex conditions, with over 11 of the invited moms recently losing their child to cancer.

“We had a special lantern release night that we called Letters to Heaven where the moms who lost children wrote notes on Chinese lanterns and released them to heaven,” shared Milk Tyson.

Milk Tyson has officially declared war on childhood cancer, and Fighting All Monsters is a non-profit disruptor that is pushing the boundaries and being more aggressive in the fight against cancer. FAM aims to bring the fight to a wider group of people by making it accessible through free events that bring the participants themselves to the limelight.

In the near future, FAM and Milk Tyson are poised to become the leading fighters of childhood cancer in the entire world. Through their efforts, the world is looking a lot brighter for those that have been affected by the horrible effects of cancer. In time, Milk Tyson hopes that he can touch the hearts of more families all over the world as he continues the fight against this deadly affliction.

Influencer Chad Ehlers Raising Awareness About Childhood Cancer Through his Foundation, Chad Change

Chad Ehlers, better known as da_chad on social platforms, is a nurse, influencer, humanitarian and the founder of Chad Change Inc., a nonprofit organization advocating against childhood cancer.

Chad Ehlers was first inspired to start his foundation when his youngest daughter, Mia, was first diagnosed with Leukemia on July 15, 2020, a few months before 2nd birthday. Talking about the moment the diagnosis was made, Chad described the moment as agonizingly silent as the word Leukemia hung in the air.

Since then, Mia has continued fighting bravely and has undergone various chemotherapy, physical therapy, and many spinal procedures. A journey Chad graciously shares via his social media platforms, captivating people worldwide. Currently, Mia is expected to finish treatment in September 2022. What started as a few posts sharing his daughter’s journey soon evolved into full-blown advocacy with powerful emotional videos for families battling against cancer.

As the videos gained traction in the digital world, the influencer decided to contribute more than just motivational words. He decided to raise funds for hospitalized children and their families and help with essential funds necessary for vital medical expenses as cancer is a financially and emotionally draining medical condition. His foundation, Chad Change Inc., results from this brilliant idea.

Through his foundation, Chad connects with other diverse positive influencers to create a supportive and uplifting atmosphere. With their combined social capital, these influencers have raised money for local children’s hospitals in each community they visit. “The Chad Change Foundation will go above and beyond to change the world one community at a time,” Chad affirmed.

Chad serves on the Chad Change foundation board as president alongside two Vice Presidents, Samantha Rose and Kyla Gillespie, secretary Jennifer S Guertin and Dr. Grace Lee as the Director of Philanthropy. In addition, he also has personal group coordinator “Tilly Hurrell” and financial support from an exclusive VIP group where he allows personal access and perks “behind the scenes.” These VIP donors, however, prefer to remain anonymous. Nevertheless, celebrities have applauded his trailblazing work of raising awareness and funds for hospitalized children.

For their next event on March 19, 2022, Chad and his Chad Change army, along with other top content creators, are bringing the next Chad Change Charity Event live from Chicago. The charity event will be sponsored by Chicago’s very own Dr. Grace Lee with support from her practice at Lakeview smiles. In addition, smiles by Dr. Jones and Invisalign are also pitching in for the event to help sick children and their families raise funds for medical expenses.

Chad Change is not just a successful nonprofit. It is a foundation inspired by a father’s unconditional love for his daughter to give back to hospitalized children fueled by his passion for fighting childhood cancer.

In the coming years, Chad has no intention of slowing down. He wants to continue creating powerful content, posting his videos and raising generous funds for other nonprofits and children’s hospitals through Instagram’s donation buttons.

Dr. Monica Patel on Heart Matters and Cardiovascular Health

Heart disease is becoming increasingly prevalent with the rise of more sedentary lifestyles coupled with unhealthy habits. Cardiovascular health is vital, and a lot of heart problems are preventable with the appropriate lifestyle changes. Dr. Monica Patel is a quadruple board-certified cardiologist who advocates for better cardiovascular disease prevention.

Dr. Monica Patel is a cardiologist who has spent her entire career serving the Houston community. She is a first-generation Indian American and native Houstonian. Dr. Patel is an active member of her community and is very involved in several local and national philanthropic organizations and events. “I love the community which I am a part of, and I feel it is only right that I give back to help others in need,” she shares. She has also volunteered in medical mission trips in Guatemala, providing basic care for underserved communities.

Dr. Patel received her Bachelor of Science in Biology and Chemistry in 1999 at Houston Baptist University as an Endowed Academic Scholar. She then attended medical school at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston in 2003. She completed her Internal Medicine residency and Cardiology Fellowship at the McGovern Medical school, formerly known as The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth) Medical school.

“Cardiology interested me from the start, and that is why I chose to specialize in it.” Dr. Patel is board-certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiology, Echocardiography, and Nuclear Cardiology. She is a cardiologist at Lyndon B. Johnson Hospital and the Memorial Hermann Hospital in the Texas Medical Center.

Aside from working with patients on a daily basis, Dr. Patel is also an academic. She is the co-program director of the cardiology fellowship at the McGovern Medical School. There, she has a hand in the training of future cardiologists. Her primary focus is on cardiovascular disease prevention and advanced cardiovascular imaging, including echocardiography and cardiac PET scans. “A cardiac PET scan is an imaging test where a specialized dye is introduced into the bloodstream. This test gives doctors detailed information on which areas of the heart might be injured or diseased,” Dr. Patel shares, “A cardiac PET scan is an important tool, and it can provide more information compared to other stress tests.”

In line with Dr. Patel’s commitment to improved heart health, she joined the PET center as a co-investigator of the CENTURY Health Study in 2012. In this study, Dr. Patel and her co-investigators focused on the effects of a combined intense pharmacological and lifestyle treatment in the prevention and reversal of coronary heart disease. “We used PET scans to see the effects of the treatment the research subjects went through. The results showed us just how much a change in lifestyle and diet could impact a person’s cardiovascular health,” she says.

Dr. Monica Patel is a brilliant doctor and academic, and her stellar work has not gone unnoticed. She has been a three-time recipient of the Dean’s Teaching Excellence Award. In 2019, Dr. Patel was invited to her first international lecture on cardiac PET scans.

“Cardiovascular disease affects so many Americans. Through various studies, we have learned that implementing simple lifestyle changes and committing to them reduces the chance of getting heart attacks. It can also help people bounce back better from their previous heart ailments,” Dr. Patel shares, “As they say, prevention is better than cure.”

Dr. Monica Patel aims to use her platform to promote health and well-being for all. “Working with many patients, I see how a disease impacts someone’s life. If we can change things in our lives to help keep us healthy, then we should make those changes,” she says, “Health is wealth, and we should do everything we can to take care of our bodies.”

Dr. Monica Patel is a quadruple board-certified cardiologist specializing in cardiovascular imaging and the prevention of heart disease. For more information about her work and advocacy, you may visit her Instagram page.
