Not the End of Spidey: Tom Holland Will Be Back After Latest Movie

As Spider-Man: No Way Home winds down the current trilogy of Marvel Cinematic Universe movies, producer Amy Pascal confirmed in an interview with Fandango that Tom Holland’s incarnation will return for a future set to continue setting up his adventures through the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

“This is not the last movie that we are going to make with Marvel – [this is not] the last Spider-Man movie,” Pascal revealed. “We are getting ready to make the next Spider-Man movie with Tom Holland and Marvel. We’re thinking of this as three films, and now we’re going to go onto the next three. This is not the last of our MCU movies.”

Spider-Man is one of the more complicated Marvel characters to license. That’s because unlike most other major heroes in MCU who have been licensed by Disney since they bought up Fox film portfolio back in 2009, Spidey still belongs to someone else: Sony. Sony has held onto him since 1998.

In 2015, Sony Pictures agreed to let Marvel Studios integrate their character, Spider-Man, into the popular Marvel Cinematic Universe in exchange for co-producing Spider-Man films with them.

Spider-Man has seen many different iterations since 2002, starting with Tobey Maguire’s version of Peter Parker. Then in 2012, Andrew Garfield burst onto the Spider-Man scene with his amazing version of the character. Now with Tom Holland, the Spider-Man stories are continuing. 

Teasing the plot of the upcoming movie, Producer Amy Pascal said, “I would say this movie deals with everything. It’s about family and love and honor and sacrifice. But it’s always centered around the decisions that Spider-Man has to make, right? It’s always about him being torn between the moment that he’s in and the destiny that is in front of him, and that’s what he’s dealing with in this movie in a really big way.”

It seems that Peter has a lot to deal with in the film, but even after this film, he still won’t be done.

Chicago has played tourist destination to many folks over the years, and to kick off 2022, our great city had the honor to host Michael and Basia Newman, the massive social media influencers behind ‘JerseyStyle’ who also appeared on the recent hit FOX television program, “MasterChef: Legends” with Gordon Ramsay. 

While in town, the two who live by the mindset of “Love + Positivity = Success” caught up with us to chat about bringing JerseyStyle to ChicagoStyle, and what exciting things they have planned for themselves and their followers for the year ahead.

1. How was your time in town? What brought you here?

This was our first time traveling to Chicago, believe it or not. We have talked about it numerous times in the past and just never made it happen. We had an absolutely amazing time while we were in town. The food, the people, the relaxed and laid back atmosphere compared to what we are used to in New York City, it was like no other city we have experienced before. Plus, how clean it was, that is a true testament to a city that cares about its people and its image.

So it would be needless to say that we would love to travel back and be able to enjoy the city when we are completely free of any work duties. With all that being said, we always know that work comes before play, but when it’s time to play, we like to play hard!

As for what brought us to the city of Chicago, well, that was a whimsical and unpredictable story. We were discussing going into NYC for the holidays as we like to do often, then we mentioned traveling to Chicago instead. We had no plans until we received a call from a major production company about working on our own tv pilot. Once we received that call, we were all in. We had work to do which justified our trip, and then we got to enjoy your beautiful city and even be able to do this interview with you featuring our time in Chicago and our LifeStyle brand, JerseyStyle.

2. What were some of your favorite places to go see / eat at?

One of the most obvious places we went to visit would be millennial park, where we got to see the City of Chicago Christmas tree, the infamous Chicago Bean, and the Jay Pritzker Pavilion, all of which were beautiful representations of a miraculous city.

We ate at lots of amazing places, of course indulging in our first ever deep dish Chicago style pizza. The funny part of this story is that on the first night we were there, we just happened to enter a pizza restaurant called Robert’s Pizza Dough Company at 465 N McClurg Ct., and this was a place that we would have expected to find deep dish. Yet to our surprise, it was some of the best thin-crust sourdough pizza we have ever had, even compared to the unofficial pizza capital of the world, NEW JERSEY! 

We also indulged ourselves at a place called Timothy O’Toole’s Pub Chicago that boasted some of the best Irish fare east of the Mississippi!

3. How does Chicago compare to New Jersey?

Very interesting question you have presented to us here. See, New Jersey is the center of the metropolitan area. We live one hour from Philadelphia, one hour to Atlantic City, and not to mention only 45 minutes to NYC! Another main difference is the pace. In New Jersey/New York, we move so fast. We are not rude as some seem to think because of our pace; we just move fast because if you don’t, you will be lost in the hustle and bustle of the big city.

The one thing we didn’t mention about New Jersey is the BEACH. I (Michael) grew up only 4 blocks to the ocean, so the beach life has always been a part of who I am. Both cities have their own unique qualities, and we would be honored to travel back to Chicago for a little more of the mid-western hospitality we experienced.

4. Will we see a ChicagoStyle spin-off of your brand in the future? What would that involve, do you think? 

We loved Chicago so much that is definitely a consideration we have discussed. As nothing can truly be JerseyStyle, we never say no to the possibilities of expanding our brand. There is no reason that every city in every state couldn’t have their own brand of STYLE…. NewYorkStyle, ChicagoStyle, MiamiStyle, LAStyle, etc., so yes, we would love to take our brand and regionalize it in the very near future!

5. What projects are you currently working on for the new year ahead?

The projects that we are currently working on for the New Year ahead include private cooking events either online or through a private dining experience being that Michael has a passion for cooking. We will also be hosting various self-love workshops and seminars. We are also working on writing a lifestyle book, which will encompass all the genres that our brand offers. This is going to be a unique, one of a kind read that you will not want to put down. We have been presented an opportunity to be featured in a cooking show that already has a pilot developed with the talks of our own lifestyle based show in the works.

6. After experiencing our city, would you come back?

YES, YES, YES! So after experiencing all (or as much as we were able to fit into our trip) of your beautiful city of Chicago, WE WOULD ABSOLUTELY RETURN.

Adele’s “Easy on Me” Secures Fourth Consecutive Week at No. 1 on the Hot 100 Chart

After debuting on Billboard’s Hot 100 from its first five hours of release, Adele’s “Easy on Me” continues to dominate radio airplay, streaming, and sales, a feat that not every household name in today’s music industry can accomplish. On the chart dated October 23, her new song following six years of hiatus landed on the 68th spot, thanks to its first five hours of availability. Since then, the single remained on top and is currently enjoying its position at the summit for the fourth consecutive week. It also stands as the biggest song in the world, notching a fourth No. 1 on both the Billboard Global 200 and Billboard Global Excluding U.S. charts. 

The lead single off her fourth studio album, “Easy on Me” brings listeners back to Adele’s brand of vocals. This ballad produced by Greg Kurstin is a brutally honest take on divorce and serves as her plea to her son to be kind to her as she contends with the implications of a dissolved marriage. Upon its release on October 15, it immediately received positive reviews from music critics and shattered records. Not only did it break the previous Spotify record set by BTS’ “Butter” when it garnered over 24 million streams in its first twenty-four hours, but it also earned the most streams in a single week with 84.9 million streams. 

“Easy on Me” is the English singer-songwriter’s 14th career entry on the Hot 100 and her fifth chart-topping track. Its performance on multiple platforms so far is not surprising, given the hype surrounding the single and the quality for which Adele’s discography is famous. 

This week, Billboard reported that the ballad drew 78.1 million radio airplay audience impressions (up by 12% from last week) and 23.6 million U.S. streams. Additionally, it sold 14,600 downloads in the November 5-11 tracking week. Considering that Adele was one of the powerhouses in an era dominated by physical and download sales, her ability to still reign in a time where streaming has taken over the music industry is clear evidence of her rule. On top of staying at the No. 1 spot for the fourth consecutive week on the Hot 100, “Easy on Me” holds the honor of leading the U.K. singles, as well. This domination of both the U.S. and U.K. charts is only the start of what’s expected to be a historical run for Adele. 30, her upcoming fourth studio album, arrives on November 19 and features 12 songs, with the deluxe edition containing three more bonus tracks. Anticipation is already high about the album earning numerous recognition as the Grammy Award-winning singer is known for snagging achievements every time she drops a new body of work.

Oscar P Pushes for Relatable Comedy Content, the Making of a Star

Art is relative, and it means different things to different people. To some, an artist’s work may serve a practical purpose such as entertainment or self-expression; In contrast, others pursue art because they love the process of creation itself – without any ulterior motive! In this instance, we see how Oscar P uses comedy as another tool in his arsenal, which brings laughter into audiences’ lives with joyous abandon while at times tackling severe issues head-on.

Oscar P. He’s an American stand-up comedian who took his comedy career to new heights in 2012 after performing at Loose Goose, a small bar and grill near Memphis where he started working open mics before joining Funny Bone where he met Lester Bibs, who became the host of the club until Chuckles Comedy House came calling. Nowadays, you’ll find him shooting pilots for Double Duty and Chocolate Sundaes at the Laugh Factory LA. He was also featured in this years’ 2021 World Series of Comedy.

According to Oscar, comedians often find themselves walking on eggshells and being careful about what they say. But he points out that there is no choice but for creatives in today’s world where everything has become more conservative to find humor wherever they can so that tension doesn’t build up on the stage. “Comedians have to be the beaming light or the dark tunnel to expose the humor in this thing called life. So, I feel that my brand of comedy confronts issues as well as heel hurts at the same time.”

When comedy came calling, Oscar P didn’t just see it as a passion or an avenue to make the audience laugh. Instead, he sought creative ways to mode his craft and monetize it with hard work that he learned from watching his father getting up each day striving to make things happen.

Through all this effortful dedication, he was eventually able to land himself gigs and appearances on stage and TV shows where he has been able to perform stand-up routines alongside luminaries.

In addition, Oscar is spearheading a change in the comedy industry alongside some like-minded individuals about the possibility of making it safer for comedians and their audiences while reducing the chances that people will turn against them. “Essentially, the idea is to make the stages a safer place for comedians to connect with their audience on a different level and to ensure cross-relatability between the audience and the jokes being told.”

Hailing from Dallas, Texas, Kedric Dewon Battee has made a name for himself as an extraordinary talent under the stage name Yung Dub D. Like many in the industry, Yung Dub D cites Michael Jackson, Stevie Wonder, and Lil Wayne as his primary influences. “They have been the reason for me taking up music and pursuing it seriously,” he said. “These music geniuses have been known to express distinct feelings through their songs, which have motivated me ‘til no end.”

Yung Dub D started to actively pursue his musical career in 2014, creating mixtapes and recording with a group called Check Life. He would later produce records for one of the group members. By 2017, Yung Dub D started to go solo. Thanks to his early works, the artist was able to start a new career to instant acclaim, gaining thousands of views and streams across multiple major platforms. He has also been featured in various hip-hop publications.
