When it comes to emo music, many bands come to mind, but one of the bands that popularized the influential subculture is Blink-182.
The band rose to popularity in the late 1990s and early 2000s, ushering in a new era of pop punk.
Although the group has gone through changes and hiatuses over the years, they recently announced a reunion.
The band will also perform at the Las Vegas event When We Were Young.
When We Were Young
When We Were Young is an upcoming music festival taking place at the Las Vegas Festival Grounds on October 21, 2023.
On Tuesday, the festival announced that Blink-182 and Green Day would be headlining.
The festival was originally scheduled for one day in 2022.
The high demand from the audience prompted organizers to expand to three days.
Tickets go on sale on October 14, 2022 at 2:00 PM PT.
The presale also begins at 10:00 PT on the same day.
In addition, registrations are currently open for presale access on the event website.
Blink-182 and Green Day may be the headliners of the event, but the entire When We Were Young roster is filled with bands that have taken emo to new heights.
Joining the headliners are:
- All Time Low
- 30 Seconds to Mars
- 5 Seconds of Summer
- Good Charlotte

When the When We Were Young lineup announcement for 2023 came, Blink-182 also announced that they were reuniting with Tom DeLonge.
Tom DeLonge is the band’s co-founder, guitarist, and vocalist, but he left in 2015.
The event will be one of many stops for the band on a global reunion tour, which is expected to take place between March 2023 and February 2024.
Blink-182 will also be headlining Lollapalooza in 2023.
The group will also release their new single “Edging” this Friday, October 14.
A new Blink-182 album will also be released soon.
