The Witcher: Blood Origin Reveals Season 2 Date, Cast

There have been many rumors about Netflix’s highly anticipated prequel series The Witcher: Blood Origin that was announced in July 2020. While many of those rumors are pure speculation, some details about the cast have been officially announced by Netflix, and fans now have an idea of the actors to expect when the series starts shooting.

Star Trek: Discovery‘s Michelle Yeoh already signed up to be the lead cast member with The Witcher showrunner Lauren S. Hissrich teaming up with season 1 writer to create this highly anticipated spinoff. Netflix’s commitment to The Witcher franchise is so strong and evident from how quickly the production company gave the green light to the spinoff series. The company hopes that the series will create more memorable stories from the vast world of author Andrzej Sapkowski and leave the viewers spellbound and entertained.

According to reports from Deadline, the show is likely to start filming in August, and speculations indicate that it will be a long shoot accompanied by VFX work and post-production. Sophia Brown, who will be playing Éile, is replacing Queen & Slim star Jodie Turner-Smith, who turned down a role in The Witcher: Blood Origin because of a scheduling conflict. Laurence O’Fuarian already proved his mettle as a veteran on the hit series Game of Thrones and Vikings. He’s another cast that everyone looks forward to seeing. Other actors expected to join the cast include It’s A Sin’s star Mirren Mack playing Merwyn Michelle, Dylan Moran as Uthrok, Lenny Henny as Balor, Lizzie Annie as Zacaré and a host of other actors.

With the setting of Blood Origin and its timeline, there are likely to be more unknown and unfamiliar characters. A prominent part of the story to expect is the “Elder Races” that existed before humans got to the continent. The Elves are also expected to have a significant amount of screen time because of their importance in the Conjunction and the Elder bloodline’s origin.

Blood Origin is set more than a thousand years before the adventures of Geralt of Rivia, and it is set to take us back to an essential time in the history of the continent. The live-action series will be based on the origins of Witchers and the ancient Elven civilization before its fall.

How Basketball Icon Dwayne Wade Rose to Become Miami Heat Culture Personified

Born and raised in Chicago, Illinois, Dwayne Wade’s parents separated when he was only four months old. He lived with his sister and mother in the South Side of Chicago and occasionally visited their father. Wade and his sister grew close, and he often admired her commitment to the church and mental strength. When he turned eight, Wade’s sister took him with her to live with their father in the suburbs, far from the violence and stress that surrounded him before.

Living with his father and stepbrothers, Wade grew to love sports. He was especially fond of football and basketball. Despite his disinterest in playing professionally, Wade’s new family sparked a passion that drove him to develop his skill. Playing with his father’s team, Wade polished his in-game skills and intelligence under his stepbrother’s guidance. Although he was an average player, Dwayne Wade made up for it with how he read the game.

In high school, Dwayne Wade delved into football, where he excelled. However, despite the promise he showed on the field, Wade’s passion for basketball overshadowed the sport. He wanted to earn regular playtime on the court and made his resolve by working out the entire summer before his junior year. 

During his junior year, Wade not only grew physically but also polished his technical skills. With his brother moving to college, Dwayne Wade became the emerging star and caught several scouts and coaches’ attention. While his game was unquestionable, Wade struggled academically. Scouts were aware of this and backed off from scholarship offers. However, Wade had some help from his high school’s assistant coach, convincing The University Marquette to take him. 

While he was not allowed to play throughout his freshman year, Dwayne Wade still joined the practices and advised his team. Homesick for the action, Wade started studying extensively and managed to score good marks. In his sophomore year, he finally stepped in and immediately showed he was not behind in terms of form. Wade’s influence was vital as he helped the University win the Conference USA, NCAA tournament and led the team to the final four for the first time in more than twenty years. 

Upon graduating, Wade was invited to the NBA draft, where Miami Heat got him in the first round as the fifth pick. In his first year, the young rookie played as if he was a professional all his life and would later be named to the All-Rookie first team. Although Heat was considered a weak team, Wade’s contribution played a significant role in their rise. His playstyle earned him the nickname “The Flash.” 

Through the years, Dwayne Wade would earn several awards and win the NBA Championship thrice. Although he spent a couple of years with Chicago Bulls and Cleveland Cavaliers, Wade’s home was in Miami Heat, where he returned and retired. To honor his achievements, Heat retired his No. 3 jersey.

Despite suffering injuries multiple times in his career, Wade ushered a golden era in Miami Heat. Although retired now, Wade and Miami Heat are synonymous as most people have come to agree that Dwayne Wade is Heat culture personified.

Adell Kimbrough: Remaining Positive, Changing Lives

When people meet Adell Kimbrough, they are struck by his relentless optimism and good naturedness. “I don’t believe in being pessimistic,” he says. “I’ve got too much to accomplish and too many people to help. That negative energy can only drag me down, so I keep a positive mentality no matter what happens. And since I believe in God and know He’s leading me, there is no reason for me to be negative.”

This way of thinking has helped Adell become a world-renowned motivational speaker, author, private pilot, and president of a Miami-based nonprofit organization called Prophetic World Group, whose programs include a church, college scholarships for kids in smaller cities and poorer communities, and leadership programs in schools.

“Positivity played a big role in me becoming a private pilot,” Adell says. “When I was in Guatemala in 2016, I realized that I wanted to be able to help pastors fly planes on mission trips. When I got back to America, I researched how to become a private pilot. It seemed easy on paper, but I had to really work hard to get my license while continuing to speak publicly for Prophetic World Group. Juggling both wasn’t easy, but I kept a good attitude, and I got my private pilot license.” Ultimately, Adell says, his goal is to found a private jet charter for pastors.

Adell likes to use his life experiences to help others, which is why he wrote From Passengers to Pilots. He sees a connection between where people fly on airplanes and how we journey through life.

“Whether you are a passenger or a pilot determines how you go through life,” Adell explains. “Are you riding in the cabin or in the cockpit? Too many of us settle because we don’t know if we possess the wherewithal to even be a pilot. All that separates you from what you want is a choice to go after it. It’s why some people go after their dreams while too many others give up on them. I ultimately want the world to stop settling for mediocrity.”

Adell has also written other books that explore the treasures people can find in themselves when they look to God.

While Adell is a published author, he is also the founder and leader of Prophetic World Group, a Miami-based nonprofit whose programs include a church, college scholarships for kids in smaller cities and poorer communities, and leadership programs in schools.

“One of the things I like most about this,” he says, “is that I get to use my public speaking skills. I travel across the country, teaching students about nonviolence and sex-abstinence. I also teach them about what real leadership looks like.”

He is passionate about ending bullying in schools and tries to show each student he meets how special they are. He believes in shaping the next generation to be peaceful and respectful of others.

When he isn’t traveling, Adell is at Prophetic World Group’s church in Detroit, Michigan. “In addition to our services, we offer spiritual advice to celebrities and high profile clients. Mental stability and positivity are key for us to operate at the highest level of creation,” Adell believes.

Prophetic World Group is growing steadily. “The pandemic meant that our church could not hold in-person services, of course, so we pivoted and started a virtual dialogue on Facebook called TNC or Thursday Night Church. We had a viewership of 10,000+ in the first month of starting.”

As the pandemic continues, Adell works with dignitaries in the church world. “Their donations have been hit, of course, so I have taught church leaders how to maintain and even heighten their ability to receive virtual donations.”

Adell is thankful for the success he has achieved thus far. “I owe where I am today to thousands of people around the world. Their support has carried me through the challenges I’ve faced in my own life.”

Adell has a special heart for entrepreneurs and is always looking to mentor the next generation. When asked what he would say to them, he laughs a little. “If they want my advice, I’ll give them two words: testicular fortitude. I think you get the point, but in layman’s terms, it means to inwardly possess the courage to conquer the world. If you’ve got that, you’ll accomplish what you set out to do.”

Adell has more to accomplish with Prophetic World Group. “Five years from now, I see us with about nine churches all over the country, and we’re shooting for an annual profit of $1 million. I definitely want us to expand and affect more people. I think we’re on track to doing that, which is really exciting.”

Adell is optimistic about his future. “I believe anything can happen if I am patient, keep the right attitude, and am relentless. I do not put any limits on what I can do, and that means God can do a lot through me.”
